Christopher Abbott is Managing Director of the LandMarkers Investor Holdings Group, where he directs investment strategies and acquisitions, establishes financial deal structure, conducts equity and specialty debt sourcing and oversees partnership reporting.
Chris’s forte is in determining and establishing solid financial underpinnings for challenging development opportunities undertaken by LandMarkers Development Group.
Chris Abbott founded Legend Capital Group, LLC in 2013. Mr. Abbott has an illustrious 25+ year career in business development, luxury real estate development and finance. For a 10-year period prior to founding Legend Capital Group, Mr. Abbott helped source over $2 Billion in specialty equity and debt facilities within a broad range of industries as a principal with Palladian Capital Advisors on behalf of its clients.
Prior to joining Palladian, Mr. Abbott was a pioneer, founder and owner of several businesses in the resort real estate industry. In 1996, Chris created and developed one of the first fractional and private residence clubs in the luxury resort industry, The River Club in Telluride, Colorado.
Subsequent to that successful project, Chris helped initiate the launch of the country’s first non-equity luxury resort project. After the launch, Chris as COO and a founder with John Kazanjian, helped to The World’s Finest Resorts which after operating successfully for 3 years was sold to Cendant/ RCI in 2005 and is now operating as The Registry Collection. The World’s Finest Resorts was the country’s first luxury reciprocation service and use exchange trading company.
Chris graduated from Brown University with a triple major in History, Business Economics and Organizational Behavior and Management. At Brown, Chris started all 4 years on the Men’s Varsity Lacrosse Team and as the leading mid-field scorer propelled the team to the #6 national ranking and Ivy League Championship in 1985.
Chris received his CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) from AIMR in 1997. Mr. Abbott is a licensed real estate broker in California.
